Primarily known as a Spanish white wine, it is also grown in Portugal and is picking up steam in Australia. It is widely considered Spain’s finest white varietal.
Albarino has a very distinctive aroma reminiscent of Gewurztraminer or Viognier with notes of apricot and peach. Due to the thick skins on the grapes, often there is a touch of bitterness on the finish.
